The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle offers a variety of events that weave through the heart of downtown Chicago, starting and finishing in Grant Park.

The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K run will have two on-course aid stations. Each aid station will offer Gatorade® Endurance Formula (lemon-lime), water, medical support and toilet facilities.
- Aid Station 1: Mile 1.6
(State Street and Randolph Street)
- Aid Station 2: Mile 3.6
(Harrison Street and Wells Street)
The 2-mile walk will have one on-course aid station offering water and toilet facilities.
Participants must be capable of maintaining a 15:00/mile pace for the 8K run and a 30:00/mile pace for the 2-mile walk. Completing the full event distance, start line to finish line, within the event time requirement of 1 hour and 15 minutes (h:mm:ss/1:15:59) for the 8K run and 1 hour (hh:mm:ss/1:00:59) for the 2 mile walk.
Participants who finish outside of the time requirement may not receive full on-course support from aid stations and traffic safety personnel. Runners who finish outside of the time requirement may not be recorded as official finishers.
Clocks and mile markers will be located at every mile for the 8K run. Timing mats for the 8K run will be at the start line, 5K and finish line. The 2 mile walk is an untimed event. Mile markers will be located at every mile.
Wheeled devices are not permitted for use on the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K run and 2 mile walk course by anyone other than registered and authorized wheelchair, handcycle or duo team participant. Prohibited wheeled devices include non-registered wheelchairs and handcycles, baby joggers, strollers, skateboards, rollerblades and bicycles.
The use of selfie-sticks, camera mounts, video devices, computers or any similar devices by anyone while participating in the event is prohibited.
Music devices with headphones are permitted for use on the course; however, participants must be alert to their surroundings at all times and must pay attention to important announcements made in Grant Park and along the course.
Per USATF rules, participants competing for awards, medals, or prize money in the individual elite field and/or Deloitte Elite Club Competition are prohibited from using personal listening/music devices.
The morning and afternoon of the event, the streets that comprise the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K course, as well as the start/finish area in Grant Park, will be closed to vehicular traffic. Street closure information for the 2019 Shamrock Shuffle will be available in advance of race weekend
