REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO MARATHON, CHICAGO 13.1 AND SHAMROCK SHUFFLE OPENS THIS MONTH
Today the teams behind Chicago’s premier racing portfolio announced registration information for the events that will make up the fourth annual Bank of America Chicago Distance Series. The Distance Series connects the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Chicago 13.1 and Shamrock Shuffle 8K Run in a unique challenge that rewards participants who finish all three events in 2026 with an exclusive medal and guaranteed entry to the 2027 Chicago Marathon. Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to get their names in early to ensure they can take part in the series. Registration for the Chicago 13.1 and Shamrock Shuffle launches today with special discounted pricing. The four-week application period for the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will open on Tuesday, October 21.

RUNNERS TURN THE STREETS OF DOWNTOWN CHICAGO GREEN AT THE 44TH BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE
Thousands of runners gathered in Grant Park Sunday morning to kick off Chicago’s spring running season at the 44th running of the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle. Featuring a sold-out field, more than 26,500 participants crossed the finish line on Columbus Drive on a cloudy, chilly morning. Gable Sieperda broke the tape, taking the crown in the men’s race in 22:52, while Amy Davis-Green defended her title, winning the women’s race in 25:31. Samantha Schroth and Angelo Perez won the wheelchair competition.

BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE EVENTS SCHEDULE & MEDIA CREDENTIALS
The start of Chicago’s spring running season will begin on Sunday, March 23 when the 44th running of the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle kicks off at 8:30 a.m. in Grant Park. The classic road race and annual tradition joins the city’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with a fun and festive 8K Run and 2-Mile Walk through the heart of downtown.

BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE RECEIVES GOLD CERTIFICATION FROM THE COUNCIL FOR RESPONSIBLE SPORT
The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle and the Council for Responsible Sport announced today that the event has once again been certified at the Gold level. The certification, based on an objective and independent verification process conducted by the Council, recognizes the event’s commitment to environmentally and socially responsible practices. The Shamrock Shuffle first received certification in 2016.

RUNNERS CELEBRATE THE START OF THE SPRING RUNNING SEASON AT THE 42ND BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE
Thousands of runners gathered in Grant Park Sunday morning to kick off Chicago’s spring running season at the 42nd running of the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle. Featuring a sell-out field and the most finishers since 2018, more than 21,000 participants crossed the finish line on Columbus Drive under overcast skies. Zach Panning broke the tape, taking the crown in the men’s race in 22:48, while Sarah Disanza led the women’s field with a 26:35 and Jake Fedorowski claimed victory in the non-binary race in 32:17. Samantha Schroth and Angelo Perez won the wheelchair competition.
