  • 2021 EVENT FAQS

    When is the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle?
    Shufflers can participate in three virtual race distances (8K, 2-Mile walk or The Mile) from Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 21. Participants can also take part in an 8-week Training Challenge that kicks off on Monday, January 25.

    What is the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Training Challenge?
    The Training Challenge is an opportunity for Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle participants to log miles, challenge themselves and compete against others as they get ready for race weekend. The 8-week Challenge follows the official Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Nike Training Program. Individuals are encouraged to walk or run the weekly mileage that aligns with the Training Program, totaling at least 100 miles in eight weeks.

    What is a virtual race?
    A virtual race provides an opportunity for participants to create a race experience in their own communities. While nothing can replace the excitement of mass participation road races, a virtual run allows participants to set a goal and celebrate the accomplishment of crossing their own finish lines.

    How much does it cost to participate in the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle?
    The registration fee for the 2021 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle is $30 for United States residents and $55 for participants residing outside of the United States.*

    *The entry fee for participants residing outside of the United States includes a $25 international shipping fee.

    What are the participant items for the event?
    All participants regardless of the selected distance will receive a Nike Dri-fit t-shirt, running belt, digital event bib number, finisher certificate and access to the virtual expo and virtual bag.

    When will I receive my participant items?
    Participant items will begin shipping in February 2021. Participants will receive an email notifying them that their items have been shipped.

    What are the age requirements for the event?
    Participants must be 8 years of age or older by Friday, March 19, 2021, in order to participate. 

    I am injured and/or cannot run the event (family commitment, work obligation, etc.). Can I get a refund, donate my entry or transfer my entry to someone else?
    No. Per our event rules: The sale and/or transfer of race entries/bibs is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.

    Can I run for a charity?
    Yes. Participants are encouraged to run and fundraise on behalf of one of our many charity partners. For information visit the Charity Program page of shamrockshuffle.com.

  • TRAINING CHALLENGE FAQS

    What is the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Training Challenge?
    The Training Challenge is an opportunity for Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle participants to log miles, challenge themselves and compete against others as they get ready for race weekend. The 8-week Challenge follows the official Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Nike Training Program. Individuals are encouraged to walk or run the weekly mileage that aligns with the Training Program, totaling at least 100 miles in eight weeks. Those that reach the minimum weekly mileage will unlock digital badges, unique offers from event partners or exclusive virtual event experiences.

    Do I have to participate in the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Training Challenge?
    Participation in the Training Challenge is not required. The Challenge is a free and fun way to stay motivated as you get ready for race weekend.

    When does the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Training Challenge start?
    The Training Challenge starts on Monday, January 25. The 8-week Challenge follows the official Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Nike Training Program.

    What program does the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Training Challenge follow?
    The Training Challenge follows the official Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Nike Training Program. The Nike Training Program is built to adapt to experience level, but it’s also uniquely flexible to participant needs. The training program provides a calendar with suggestions for weekly mileage, cross-training and rest days, and is designed for participants of varying abilities.

    Is there a cost to participate in the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle Training Challenge?
    No. The Training Challenge is free for registered Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle participants. 

    How do I submit my mileage?
    You can submit your mileage through your participant account starting on Monday, January 25. Mileage can be added as you complete your training runs or entered at the end of each week. The deadline to enter weekly mileage is 11:59 p.m. (Central Time) each Sunday.

    Below are instructions on how to submit your mileage.

    • Log in to your Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle participant account.
    • Click on “Your Registrations” in the menu at the top of the page.
    • Select the “Training Challenge” in the event listing on the page.
    • Click “Submit Activity” on the event page and then select “Add Manual Activity” or “Add from Wearable”.
    • You will receive an email confirmation when your results are successfully submitted. 


    Do I have to participate in all eight weeks?
    No. You can join the 8-week Training Challenge at any time.

    Can I participate as a team?
    Yes. You can participate as a team in the Training Challenge through the Deloitte Team Competition. During the Training Challenge, teams will be ranked by the total miles submitted by participating team members over the 8-week challenge.

    Information on how to create or join a team for the Deloitte Team Competition will be available in the coming weeks.

  • DELOITTE TEAM COMPETITION FAQS

    What is the Deloitte Team Competition?
    The Deloitte Team Competition is the perfect way for running club members, groups of friends, and corporate teams to connect and compete in this year’s Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle.

    Teams participating in the Deloitte Team Competition can compete in the Training Challenge (Monday, January 25 to Thursday, March 18) and in the 8K over race weekend (Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 21).

    How can I join a team to participate in the Deloitte Team Competition?
    Information on how to create or join a team for the Deloitte Team Competition will be available in the coming weeks. 

    Is there a cost to participate as a team in the Deloitte Team Competition?
    No. The Deloitte Team Competition is free for registered Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle participants.

    Is there a limit to the number of individuals you can have on a team?
    No. Once a team is formed, the team captain can invite as many or as few team members as they would like.

    How will teams be scored during the Training Challenge?
    Teams will be scored in one of five divisions based on team size. Team members will be responsible for logging their miles and race results in their participant account. Once submitted, the results will be applied to individual’s team results.

    During the Training Challenge, teams will be ranked by the total miles submitted by participating team members over the 8-week challenge. Rankings will be updated weekly, following the results submission deadline each Sunday.

    How will teams be scored over race weekend?
    Teams will be scored in one of five divisions based on team size. Team members will be responsible for logging their miles and race results in their participant account. Once submitted, the results will be applied to individual’s team results.

    Over race weekend, team rankings will transition from total mileage to average 8K race time. The final Deloitte Elite Team Competition results for the 8K will be available the week of March 22.

    What are the divisions in the Deloitte Team Competition?
    Teams will be scored in one of five divisions based on team size.

    • Division 1: 200 or more participants
    • Division 2: 100 to 200 participants
    • Division 3: 50 to 100 participants
    • Division 4: 25 to 50 participants
    • Division 5: Less than 25 participants


    How do team members submit their mileage or race weekend results?
    Team members will be responsible for logging their miles and race results in their participant account. Once submitted, the results will be applied to individual’s team results.

    Below are instructions on how to submit your mileage and/or race results.

    1. Log in to your Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle participant account.
    2. Click on “Your Registrations” in the menu at the top of the page.
    3. Select the “Training Challenge” or the Shamrock Shuffle virtual distance in the event listing on the page.
    4. Click “Submit Mileage” (during the Training Challenge) or “Submit Virtual Results” (over race weekend)
    5. You will receive an email confirmation when your results are successfully submitted.


    Is there a prize for the winning teams in each division?
    The Deloitte Team Competition is a fun and competitive way to stay connected with your friends, family and co-workers during training and over race weekend. Top teams will receive a digital certificate.

  • RACE WEEKEND FAQS

    How can I access my event bib number?
    You can download your official Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle bib number via your participant account starting on Monday, March 15. Once you’ve logged in, click “Your Registrations” in the menu bar and then select “Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle” on the page. From there you will be able to access your digital bib.

    Is there a designated course for the virtual race?
    No. There is not a designated course route for the 2021 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle. We encourage you to create a course route in your own community that is in line with local government guidance, as well as safe pedestrian practices when on streets and roadways.

    Will you have an official finish tape I can print for my race?
    Yes. We encourage you to recreate the race experience at home with event inspiration including an official 2021 finish tape. These materials will be available for download in March.

    Can I break up the mileage throughout the week and submit my total time based on each run?
    No. All distances must be completed in one continuous run.

    When can I submit my results for the 8K, 2-Mile walk or The Mile?
    You can submit your results for one of the three distances from Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 21.

    How do I submit my results?
    You will submit your race results through your participant account. Below are instructions on how to submit your time.

    1. Log in to your Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle participant account.
    2. Click on “Your Registrations” in the menu at the top of the page.
    3. Select the Shamrock Shuffle virtual distance in the event listing on the page.
    4. Click “Submit Virtual Results”
    5. You will receive an email confirmation when your results are successfully submitted.

    Once your results are submitted you can view your time on the results page and download your finisher certificate.
